JINGLE BEE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS<\/p>\n
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all though the hive
\nNot a creature was stirring, are they even alive?
\nEmpty honeycomb makes the cluster despair,
\nThey hope that Jingle Bee soon will be there;<\/p>\n
The larva and pupa all snug in their cells,
\nDreams of royal jelly and bee bread’s sweet smell.
\nQueen in her castle and nurse bees attending,
\nThese are cold nights that seem never ending.<\/p>\n
When up on the roof, there arose such a clatter,
\nSmoke at the door, can you see what’s the matter?
\nBright light and cold breeze in our house does appear,
\nA white-suited monster is looking in here.<\/p>\n
He is chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
\nAnd I laugh when I see him, in spite of myself.
\nHe speaks not a word; but goes straight to his labor,
\nLooking and checking, with his blasted smoke maker.<\/p>\n
His actions are swift to avoid chilling trouble,
\nSugar and pollen to the hive he does shuttle.
\nHoney in frames to the cluster he brings,
\nFresh food for the bees to last until Spring<\/p>\n
The roof is now back and the darkness restored,
\nBut the hive knows Jingle Bee visits once more.<\/p>\n
